NCP to highlight govt's failure to tackle drought
Mumbai: On its 20th anniversary, the NCP has planned to highlight the state government’s failure to tackle severe drought conditions in the state.
According to NCP sources, the party will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on June 10. On this occasion, the party will undertake various initiatives across the state under the tagline Dahak Dushkal, Bheeshan Panitanchai… Ya sankat deuya Balirajala Saath (In these severe drought and acute water shortage conditions, we should lend a helping hand to farmers.)
“Taking into account the severity of the drought, the party has decided to organise ‘Jandin Sankalp’ events across the city. Under this, we will create public awareness of the water crisis,” said Jayant Patil, NCP state unit chief.
In addition to this, the party will also hold ‘Jaldindi’ (water march) to the state government offices on district and taluka levels. It will also organise lectures of water experts to enlighten people about the importance of water.
