Bombay HC: Expedite probe into Osho's will

After receiving a report from the chief examiner, investigation will be carried forward.

Mumbai: The Bombay high court has directed to expedite the process of investigation in the case of spiritual guru Osho Rajneesh’s will.

On the last hearing, the petitioner Yogesh Thakkar’s counsel had submitted a report of a Delhi-based forensic laboratory before the court, alleging that the signature of Osho Rajneesh is false. The court had then directed the petitioner to handover the said report to the investigating officer. Last week while hearing the matter the court was informed by the public prosecutor that petitioner’s report have been sent to chief examiner of documents, Crime Branch, Pune.

After receiving a report from the chief examiner, investigation will be carried forward.

The court then directed deputy commissioner of police, Economic Offence Wing, Pune to take up the matter with the chief examiner of documents and see to it that his report is made available to the investigation officer as expeditiously as possible.

Yogesh Thakkar, a disciple of Osho Rajneesh approached Bombay high court challenging Osho’s will. He alleged that people who were always near Osho made a false will.
