Girl kidnapped, raped in moving car
Mumbai: A 20-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped inside a moving car in Charkop on Thursday morning.
The incident took place when she was on her way to college. An Eeco, with three men inside, drew up near her and allegedly kidnapped and raped her.
According to sources from the Charkop police station, the incident took place at 8.30 am. After being pulled into the car, the girl was raped by one of the three men who were in the car. As the girl fought to free herself, she was thrown out of the car by her captors near Madh Island, Malad. She pelted the car windows with stones, but the accused trio managed to escape unscathed.
The victim registered a complaint at the Charkop police station. Sources said that victim mentioned that one of the accused had warned her to stay away from ‘him’.
Senior police inspector Vijay Bhalshankar told The Asian Age, “A case of rape and kidnapping has been registered but no arrests have been made so far. The investigation is underway.”
