After which police immediately arrested Pathak, the son of an ex-IPS officer, under Section 304.

Mumbai: Two days since Mojo’s Bistro co-owner Yug Pathak was arrested in the Kamala Mills fire case, the NM Joshi police is yet to trace Duke Tulli, the other co-owner of the pub, who was supposed to produce himself at the police station on Monday but didn’t turn up. The police summoned Tulli on Saturday.

Senior police inspector Ahmed Pathan of the NM Joshi Police station said, “We have constituted a team to search for him (Tulli). We will arrest him soon.”

Meanwhile, a senior crime branch officer said that teams have been formed to search for the three absconding owners of the 1 Above restaurant — Kripesh Sanghvi, Jigar Sanghvi and Abhijeet Mankar — who are also allegedly responsible for the blaze.

On Saturday, the police included the names of Mojo’s Bistro’s owners to the FIR that was registered against the owners of 1 Above and its managers in the case on December 30, and booked them under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. After which police immediately arrested Pathak, the son of an ex-IPS officer, under Section 304. Mojo’s Bistro is owned by Tirupati Restaurants and Café Private Limited, of which Pathak and Tulli are the directors.

Earlier in the week, the police had questioned the co-owners of Mojos’s Bristo in relation to the case registered against their restaurant for unauthorised construction under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act.

So far, seven people in total have been named in the FIR registered at NM Joshi police station, wherein the accused have been booked under section 304, 337 of the IPC.
