No more officials to arrest in probe after BMC report: Cops
Mumbai: The NM Joshi Marg police, who are probing the Kamala Mills fire, said it has not made any fresh arrest of a civic official in the case, as the report into the incident submitted by the Brihanmumbai Mun-icpal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner does not mention any one apart from an official who was arrested earlier.
Virendra Mishra, deputy commissioner of police zone 3 said, “The probe is underway, and the accused who were named in the report submitted by the BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta have been either placed under arrest or are under departmental enquiry or being terminated from their duties.”
Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Mishra added, “Whatever revelations are made during investigations, actions are being taken accordingly.”
, senior police inspector refused to comment on the development and said that it is a part of the probe, and all details cannot be divulged, as it may hamper the further investigation.
Three weeks after the Brihanmumbai Mun-icpal Corporation report was submitted, three arrests were made, including the fire official who submitted a fake report, the hookah supplier who supplied in Mojo’s Bistro, and the owners of Kamala Mills.
