Narayan Rane dubs MVA stay order' sarkar
Mumbai: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Rane has slammed Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government over its decision to review development projects in the state. This is a ‘temporary’ government and should be called ‘stay order’ government, he quipped.
Since coming to power, the MVA government has ordered the review of several big-ticket infrastructure projects, including the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, and has stayed construction of the Metro III car shed at Aarey Colony in Mumbai.
“This is not a people’s government, in fact it is a ‘stay order’ government. It will not survive more than few months. But development projects in the state could come to a halt due to the working style of this government,” he said while speaking in Sindhudurg.
Mr Rane added that the Sena-NCP-Congress government would not last long as these parties have come together only to protect their personal interests.
“Ten days have passed since the government was sworn in on November 28, but the six ministers are yet to get their portfolios. So far, not a single decision in the interest of the people has been taken. This government is not good for the state,” Mr Rane said.
The only decision the government has taken in the last ten days is to halt projects in the state. Instead of working for the progress of the state, the government is trying to extract money from the contractors by stalling projects, he alleged.
Attacking Mr Thac-keray, Mr Rane said that the chief minister has no experience of holding a Constitutional post and claimed the Sena chief understands nothing abo-ut the state bureaucracy.
