Thane court awards two 20 years RI for raping 11-yr-old differently abled girl

The accused have been identified as Samin Ansari and Sonu Murm, residents of Zarhand. The main accused, Ansari Ranga, is still absconding.

Mumbai: The Thane session’s court has sentenced two persons to 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment for allegedly gang-raping an 11-year-old differently abled girl after luring her with chocolate.

The girl had to undergo three surgical procedures as the accused had had unnatural sex with her and bit her. After raping the girl the accused tried to kill her but were not successful.

The court said that their crime was brutal and inhuman. During the conviction 18 witnesses in total were examined. Advocate Sujata Jadhav of the Thane sessions court said, “We are trying to get compensation for the victim.”

The accused have been identified as Samin Ansari and Sonu Murm, residents of Zarhand. The main accused, Ansari Ranga, is still absconding.

A Diaghar police official, “The girl could not speak after the incident and went into a vegetative state for three hours once a week because of mental attack.”
