Fire Brigade rescues seven bar girls
Mumbai: The Thane (rural) police raided Hotel Gandharva, an orchestra bar in Bhayandar on Saturday night and rescued seven bar girls stuck in secret cavities with the help of Fire Brigade.
The initial search within the bar came up with nothing incriminating. Howe-ver, the informer posing as a client had confirmed the presence of a large number of bar girls.
Soon they found that the portion of a back-wall on the upper floors was actually a secret door, which led to cramped cavities behind the billboard.
The fire brigade per-sonnel were called and seven girls who h-ad virtually squeezed themselves in the cavity were rescued.
Apart from section 294 (vulgar acts) against four bar girls and customers, the police slapped section 308 (culpable homicide) against staffers and bar manager for endangering lives of these women.
