Govt mulling action plan on PSI issue
The law and judiciary department is mulling over the option of filing an appeal in the high court
Mumbai: The state government is considering an action plan to resolve the issue of the 154 candidates from the SC/ST category who were to be promoted to the post of police sub-inspector (PSI), said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The law and judiciary department is mulling over the option of filing an appeal in the high court. The officers were sent to their earlier posts after completing their training. But it is legally difficult to go in an appeal in the high court, said senior government officer.
The Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal had recently stayed the appointments of the candidates, as the state has no law for promotion in reservation.
