Mumbai: A day after heavy continuous rains, roads in the Vasai-Virar stretch continued to be water-logged at several spots though levels have reduced compared to Tuesday. Ambadi Road locals were struggling while wading through the thigh-high water, which submerged the streets. The power supply to Vasai was cut since Tuesday after the sub-stations were water-logged.

The electricity was restored in the city by 2pm on Wednesday and by evening power supply to all parts of Vasai were up, according to MSEDCL authorities.

While there was no rescue operation by the city police on Wednesday, enough precautionary measures had been taken to avoid eventualities owing to the presence of water on streets.
