Mumbai: In the wake of a viral video depicting anti-reservation protesters burning a copy of the Constitution at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, several dalit organisations, including the Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party of India (A), on Saturday took to the streets in protest across the state.
The protesters have demanded the arrest of the culprits. Mr Athawale, who is also Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment, had called the protest.
“We have also given a memorandum to police stations,” said an RPI official. Party workers staged a rasta roko in Nagpada.
