Mumbai: A day after the arrest of Abhinav Kohli, the husband of a television actress, the police said that he had been harassing his stepdaughter since 2017 using abusive language and allegedly assaulting the underage girl on some occasions.

“The accused made objectionable comments and shared objectionable pictures with the victim since past two years and was harassing the actor and her daughter. We are looking into the case further,” said Pranay Ashok, Mumbai police spokesperson.

The officials said that the complaint was triggered after the accused again attacked his stepdaughter allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The accused had been targeting her allegedly over his relationship issues with the actress. The teenager is daughter from the actress’ first husband Raja Chaudhary.

On Sunday, the actor informed her mother about the latest bout of anger, following which the three approached the Samata Nagar police station and lodged a complaint against Kohli.
