Mumbai: 2 weeks after Elphinstone stampede, woman hurt as tile of FOB falls on her
The passenger, identified only as Anita (38), sustained a minor injury in the incident that occurred at around 3.40 pm.
Mumbai: A woman passenger was injured at suburban Elphinstone Road railway station on Friday when part of a tile of a Foot Overbridge (FOB) fell on her on head while she was entering the premises, an official said.
Incidentally, it was the same FOB, which links the Elphinstone Road and Parel railway stations, on whose staircase 23 people had died in a stampede on September 29.
The passenger, identified only as Anita (38), sustained a minor injury in the incident that occurred at around 3.40 pm, a Western Railway official said.
The incident occurred at the booking office end of the FOB.
The woman, a resident of suburban Chembur, was admitted in nearby KEM hospital by the on duty GRP and RPF personnel, where her condition is stated to be fine.
