NGO to reward motorists who abide by rules
Mumbai: As a part of the ongoing driver awareness campaign started by the NGO Save Life Foundation (SLF) rewards will be offered to the motorists who
are willing to give ratings on the quality and performance of the various tyres installed on their vehicle. The rewards can be encashed in exchange for fuel or mobile talk time.
To create awareness of safe driving, and ensure that all the rules are followed, the SLF has also started an incentive-based project, wherein it will reward drivers and passengers for due diligence with reward points for adhering to safety norms.
The said points can be earned by the participants who abide by the simple rules such as not jumping a signal, wearing a seatbelt, not crossing the speed limit, following lane discipline among others.
The rewards will be given on the basis of the motorist’s performance. Another way of earning reward points is by rating the performance of tyres installed by them, so as to give out verdict on which tyres are safer and at what speed.
The participants will be rewarded according to the accuracy of their ratings, when compared to those given by other participants.
The accumulated points can be encashed for various services such as topping up mobile talk time, re-fuelling and so on.
