Bombay High Court asks Maharashtra govt to explain rule

Mumbai: The Bombay high court has sought an explanation from the state as to why it has excluded a meritorious student from securing admission to the LLB course even though he has passed the HSC exam.
The student had been refused a chance to secure a seat in the course as he had not passed the class XI exams. The court has demanded that the state justify the rule which is only for illustrative purposes. A division bench was hearing a petition filed by a student.
