Collector organises camp to regulate flat transfers on January 17-18
Mumbai: The Mumbai suburban collector has organised a two-day camp in Bandra on January 17 and 18, 2018, for transfer of flats on government land as well as cooperative societies. The collector has appealed that pending issues be cleared during this camp. People have been asked to submit their respective matters with the collector’s office so that it can be resolved in a speedy manner.
There have been several cases where flat owners could not get their flats transferred on their names due to rules regarding collector’s land. There have also been cases where flat owners struggled to transfer flats on their names as they lived in cooperative societies. To clear all such cases, the collector’s office has now declared setting up of the camp. Flat owners can submit their matters to the collector’s office during the two-day camp to accelerate decision-making.
Dipendra Singh, Mumbai suburban collector, said, “Our aim is to clear such issues in as speedy and smooth a manner as possible. There is danger of middlemen harassing people by keeping such issues pending for long. We want citizens to be free from such things and get their work done legally and easily.”
Mr Singh also informed that if necessary, such camps will be held every two to three months for the benefit of people. “As of now, I can't give the exact number of pending issues. But if needed, we will arrange such camps frequently,” he said.
