Mumbai: The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Tuesday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a commitment that the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Conference (NC) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) would not be a part of the Nationalist Democratic Alliance (NDA) after the general elections for political reasons.

The party also asked how many Kashmiri Pandits had returned in the last five years. The Shiv Sena also claimed that PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and NC chairman Farooq Abdullah have destroyed three generations of Kashmir.

The Shiv Sena said in the editorial of its mouthpiece Saamana on Tuesday, “Tomorrow, whatever may be the case on the requirement of numbers to form the government, there will be no relationship with those who talk of dividing the nation and those who have ruined three generations of Kashmiris. They will not get a place in Mr Modi's Cabinet or the NDA.”

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his statement that he would not allow the division of India, the Sena said that it was good that he had made this statement in Jammu and Kashmir, but the question is who is going to divide the country and how are we going to stop them. “Who is capable of dividing India?” the Sena asked.

The editorial also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was questioning Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar as to why he was supporting those who want to divide the nation and the same question should remain after the elections as well.

A week ago, PM Narendra Modi asked at a rally in Latur that why Mr Pawar was supporting parties that want a separate PM for Jammu and Kashmir.

The Sena said that Mr Abdullah had talked about Jammu and Kashmir having a separate Prime Minister.

Criticising Farooq  Abdullah's remarks, the editorial said, “This won't be possible even after 100 generations of his (Abdullah).”

The Shiv Sena said that those dividing the country and those supporting them should not get a place in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet and the NDA in the future. “If those supporting anti-nationals today sit with nationalists for political reasons, it will be an insult to our jawans. However, it is true that the country would not be divided anymore.

Mehbooba Mufti’s and Farooq Abdullah's plans will never be fulfilled.”
