Penalise residents of village where crime was perpetuated: Ambedkar
Mumbai: Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh (BBM) chief Prakash Ambedkar has said that the people of the village where the three dalit boys were beaten and paraded naked, should be “penalised”.
Penalising villagers, he added, would “sensitise” them into acting against such horrific incidents. Mr Ambedkar also slammed the goverment, stating that it had a “discriminatory” attitude.
“This government is discriminating between people on the basis of their caste and hierarchy, and people are being victimised. People of a certain caste believe that they are superior to others,” Mr Ambedkar told reporters.
Furthermore, he claimed that atrocities against a section of society have continued unabated for the last four years, adding that they wouldn’t stop until the government changed its attitude.
