Mumbai: The parents of a three-year-old boy who was allegedly molested by the founder-director of an Andheri based IB school, already booked by the police for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl are hesitant to lodge a complaint against the accused, as they don't want to attract any unwanted public attention, according to the MIDC police.

The police officials have also approached the school's management to ask the parents of other students to come forward and report if their child has faced any such incident.

According to police sources, the lack of any additional complaint may weaken the case against the accused.

Officials attached to the MIDC police station in Andheri east, who are probing the case against the director said that although the incident of the minor boy's alleged molestation has been mentioned in the First Information Report registered against the accused, by the girl's mother, the parents of the boy are not willing to come forward and record a statement against the accused.

Speaking to The Asian Age, Navinchandra Reddy, Deputy Comm-issioner of Police, Zone 10 said, “The main drawback in this case is the absence of CCTV footages in the school premises, which could have helped us in getting some clarity about the case.”
