Inspect Nahar hillock, submit report: Bombay HC

The court has directed the receiver to submit a report in the next hearing.

Mumbai: The Bombay high court has asked the receiver to visit the Nahar Shakti project at Powai and verify the allegations of indiscriminate damage to the ecology and cutting of a hillock by the developers. The court has directed the receiver to submit a report in the next hearing.

The HC was hearing a public interest litigation filed by activist Prakash Agarwal who informed the court that on April 16 he had submitted a letter to the receiver enlisting actions of the developer that were violative of a HC order passed in September last year.

After hearing the submissions which also elaborated that the hillock which was originally measuring more than 70,000 square metres had been cut to almost 25,000 square metres, the court directed the receiver to
conduct an inspection.
