MahaRERA to start online payment mode

The informants will have to make a payment of Rs 5,000 through this new payment mode.

Mumbai: In a bid to ease the process of complaint registration against unregistered projects, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) will soon introduce an online platform. The informants will have to make a payment of Rs 5,000 through this new payment mode.

The regulatory authority released a circular regarding the same last week. The circular sign-ed by MahaRERA secretary Vasant Prabhu, read, “Maha-RERA is in process of adding facility of making an online payment for hearing complaints against unregistered projects. The informant will be able to make a payment of Rs 5000.” The authority has given away the bank details to send money for hearing the complaint. This facility will be available until the online payment mode is set up.

Recently, the category of ‘Non-Registration’ has been introduced so as to empower the informants to present the case by paying the fee.

So far, more than 17,000 projects in the city have been registered with MahaRERA and 3,800 complaints recieved.
