Dhananjay Munde calls Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil, his son traitor for quitting NCP
Mumbai: In an ironic election speech, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde called Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil and his son a traitor for joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that “they” had forgotten everything that Sharad Pawar did for them and their family.
Interestingly, Mr Munde, who is the nephew of the late BJP leader Gopinath Munde, had himself left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the NCP a few years ago.
Mr Munde was addressing the rally arranged at Kurduwadi to campaign for Sanjay Mama Shinde. Mr Munde said, “Madha is the bastion of the Nationalist Congress Party’s and the BJP has arranged the game here." He further appealed to Congress-NCP supporters to devastate the game being played by BJP.
Attacking Mr Modi he said, “In 2014, Bharatiya Janata Party had not projected the candidate for Prime Minister’s position but had brought a Sapno ka Saudagar (dream seller) who cheated everyone.” Talking about the BJP he said that the BJP had cheated workers, dalits and dhangars.
Targeting Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadanvis, Mr Munde said, “In order to come to power, chief minister had promised in Baramati that if BJP was voted to power it would give reservation to Dhangars in government’s first cabinet meeting. After 5 years Dhangar community has not got its reservation. Instead, they accepted in court that the file related to Dhangar reservation had gone missing.”
