Ulhasnagar girl ranks 3rd in CA exams

MUMBAI: Ulhasnagar’s Samiksha Agarwal secured the third rank in the All India Rank (AIR) of the chartered accountants (CA) final examination, the results of which were   released on Friday by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Apart from the CA exams, the ICAI released the foundation examination and common proficiency test (CPT) results, which did not have any Mumbai toppers in the top three positions.

Prit Shah from Surat topped the CA (revised scheme) exams with 542 marks (67.75%) while the second position belonged to Bengaluru boy Abhishek Nagaraj with 539 (67.38%), who is followed by the 21-year-old Samiksha who scored 524 marks i.e. 65.5 per cent. The said exams were conducted in the month of May/June 2018 and were made available at the official websites of ICAI for the students.

“I have been preparing for the examination since 2016 and my full-fledged study started in 2018. I always maintained a proper timetable for my studies as I had to attend college while preparing,” Ms. Samiksha said.
