Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Saturday put up posters across Mumbai asking Shiv Sena about basic issues of state. This comes after Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray declared his intentions to go to Ayodhya for Ram Mandir.

MNS asked Sena chief whether his Ayodhya trip would solve the issues like unemployment and farmers’ suicides in the state.

Mr Thackeray, while speaking to his party workers on annual Dus-sehra rally on Thursday, had said that he would go to Ayodhya on November 25 to pay respect to the Hindu God Ram. “Nobody can stop me. I have declared it already. It is matter of faith for Hindus of this country. Let us know whether you are building it or should we do it?” Mr Thackeray asked Bharatiya Janata Party, his alliance partner.

MNS gave strong reaction to it by putting up posters in number of places across Mumbai and especially in front of Shiv Sena Bhawan in Dadar. The poster wishes well for the Ayodhya tour without naming Sena chief and later there are few questions such as ‘Will Maharashtra beco-me potholes free? Will Inflation come down? Will women in Maharashtra be secure?’ and so on.

“We respect the sentiments of Hindus. But after failing to give good governance to people of state, ruling parties have suddenly realised the Ram Mandir issue. Maharashtra is facing severe drought conditions and hence Sena should put all the efforts in this way and instead of such diversionary tactics,” said MNS spokesperson Sandeep Deshpande.
