Mumbai: Six staffers were injured – four of them suffering grievous injuries – when the compressor of an air-conditioner burst inside the premises of a restaurant at Mira Road on Sunday afternoon.

According to the police, the incident was reported at around 12 pm Sunday from Food King, a fast food joint located at Prime Mall in the Kanakia, Mira Road.

“It is a clear case of negligence,” said fire officer Prakash Borade.

According to the owners, it was caused by accumulation of air pressure leading to breaking of glass panes.

“We are conducting a spot panchnama and ap-propriate action will be taken.” said police sub-inspector Shailjeet Kasture.
