Bizman denied bail in Zeenat Aman case

The accused allegedly helped Khanna, who claimed to be Zeenat Aman's husband and was arrested for conning her of crores of rupees.

Mumbai: A sessions court has rejected the bail application filed by a businessman arrested in connection with helping Aman Khanna forge property documents that were used to cheat veteran actress Zeenat Aman. The accused allegedly helped Khanna, who claimed to be Zeenat Aman’s husband and was arrested for conning her of crores of rupees.

Sessions judge Shayana Patil rejected the bail plea filed by Kishor Nathani. The main charge against Nathani is that he helped Khanna fabricate various documents to cheat Mrs Aman. As per the complaint , Khanna allegedly cheated Mrs Aman of Rs15 crore. The actress also alleged that Khanna raped her.

Nathani’s lawyer argu-ed that he was just a car dealer and that the police had falsely implicated him due to his proximity with the main accused.

After hearing the arguments, the judge rejected the bail application, obse-rving that the charge sheet prima-facie reve-aled active involvement of the accused in the offence of forgery committed with the main accused.
