State transport employees get pay hike, Diwali gift as well
Mumbai: Minister for transport and President of the State Transport corporation (MSRTC) Mr Diwakar Raote on Monday declared a Diwali gift for the officers and employees of the department. The employees will receive Rs 2,500 while officers of the department will receive Rs 5,000 as a Diwali gift.
Besides this, ST officers will also get a 10 per cent interim hike in salary. The decision to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and officers has also been taken.
Mr Raote declared that ST officers will get a interim rise of 10 per cent in their salaries which will be effective from October 2018.
The minister said that a two-member committee comprising of retired officers of Mantralaya has been constituted in order to study and submit its recommendations to the corporation. The committee will submit its report within two months.
Mr Raote also announced that the arrears of the salary hike to the employees will be given on November 1.
