MPCC hints at seat-sharing with NCP
Both parties had fought the Lok Sabha elections together in 2004, 2009 and 2014.
Mumbai: The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has indicated a “rearrangement” of its seat-sharing formula with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Ahead of talks of an alliance between the two parties, the move is being seen as the Congress’ willingness to accommodate NCP’s concerns.
Both parties had fought the Lok Sabha elections together in 2004, 2009 and 2014. In the Assembly elections, they were together in 2004 and 2009 but parted ways in 2014.
