Governor likely to praise state in speech
Mumbai: Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao, is likely to praise the state government over the loan waiver scheme and the speedy implementation of certain projects in his speech on the Republic Day celebrations. It is expected that he may also mention the claims of Maharashtra government getting the highest foreign direct investments last year.
Like every year, Maharashtra's republic day celebration will be held at at Shivaji Park. There will be salutations to tricolour from forces including Police, home guards, fire brigade and school children at the parade. Governor's speech follows the parade.
This year Maharashtra government has declared Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Sanman Yojana this year. It is expected that this Rs 34022 Crore loan waiver scheme will be major part of Governor C Vidyasagar Rao's speech on Republic Day.
Maharashtra government is all set to host the event. It is about investment in state and major industrial leaders will attend the event. Mr Rao's speech may mention the event and also claims of Maharashtra government as most attractive destination of business houses in India.
