Sharad Pawar slams PM Modi over Rafale papers
Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying how can the country be safe at the hands of a person, who couldn’t keep country’s confidential documents safe.
Mr Pawar was speaking while addressing a rally in Parbhani on Tuesday. The Government of India had informed the Supreme Court that the documents pertaining to the Rafale fighter jet deal has been stolen.
Mr Pawar said that the government is politicising the Pulwama attacks. Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman , who was held under captivity in Pakistan, was released as per the international convention. But the BJP had claimed credit over it. Now the question is if Mr Varthaman was released due to the BJP, then why was Kulbhushan Jadhav not released?” he said.
