Put me in jail if i am wrong, says Khadse

Mr Khadse said that though there are various allegations made against other BJP ministers, he is being singled out.

Mumbai: Former revenue minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Eknath Khadse has appealed to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis that he should be sent to jail if he is found to have done something wrong.

Mr Khadse said that though there are various allegations made against other BJP ministers, he is being singled out.

“Send me to jail if I have committed any offence, but don’t put me in the prisoner’s box merely on the basis of suspicion,” he said while talking to The Asian Age. He further said that enquiries are ordered when allegations are levelled against other ministers, but he has been kept out of the Cabinet since the last 20 months without any proof of guilt. “Why different justice for me? My workers are asking this question,” he said.

Mr Khadse was asked to resign after his name had come up in relation with the Bhosari (Pune) land purchase matter. Mr Fadnavis had appointed retired judge Zoting committee. How-ever, the report wasn’t made public.
