Mumbai: 2 held for molesting minor girls, holding them captive in gowdown
The matter came to light after the girls managed to escape and confided in their family members, who in turn approached the police.

Mumbai: Two youths were arrested on Friday for allegedly outraging the modesty of two minor girls by detaining them in a godown in suburban Kurar, police said.
According to a police officer, the youths and the girls knew each other and they are residents of same locality. The officer said the duo, whose names have not been disclosed by the police, took the girls to the spot under some pretext last night, where they touched them inappropriately and attacked them.
The matter came to light this morning after the girls managed to escape and confided in their family members, who in turn approached the police.
"Based on the complaint lodged by the family members of the girls, the police arrested the youths this evening. One of them is 19-year-old and another is 22-year-old," said Kiran Chavan, DCP (Zone XII).
The duo have been booked under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC and under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from the Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Further investigation is on, he said.
