After conditional licence, Juhu heliport yet to get act together
Nearly 40 days after getting a conditional licence from Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), officials of the Juhu aerodrome are yet to fulfil those conditions, DGCA sources said. DGCA had directed Juhu aerodome authorities and Airport Authority of India to fulfil the conditions within 30 days.
A letter was written by DGCA to direct AAI on the same on June 3. In the letter DGCA informed AAI that after receiving the application of licence renewal on May 25, DGCA is extending the licence till February 7, 2018 after accepting the aerodrome manual of Juhu airport.
AAI was also informed that the regulator is not accepting the non-compliances at Juhu heliport. DGCA asked for a list of all the action plans and mitigation measures for all the non-compliances existing at the aerodrome.
