Cousin killed business found dead in car: Cops
The Dombivali Manpada police on Monday arrested a man who allegedly murdered his 49-year-old cousin brother, who was found with his throat slit in his car at Dombivali on Friday.
The deceased’s uncle and a godman are also involved in the case, the police said. Cops added that the uncle is still absconding and a search is on for him.
According to officers, the accused have been identified as Jaideep Rasal (the cousin brother), Jairam Rasal (the uncle), Parshuram Patil (the godman) and a friend of Jaideep’s, Chandan Gaikwad.
Sources said, “Jaideep's wife, Savita, fled from home four months ago, frustrated that Jaideep and his father, Jairam, are drug addicts who would regularly beat her up. After she fled, Jaideep filed a police complaint. But he suspected that she had fled with a friend of the deceased, Satish, who is a business man.”
The sources added: “Jaideep thus wanted to take revenge and started planning the same with his father.
On September 7, he received a knife from the godman to kill Satish. He then met Satish on September 8 and asked him for a lift saying the petrol in his bike had finished. Jaideep killed Satish while he was in the car, and took his friend's help to return home.”
The police added that it was Jaideep’s wife who had given them a clue about her husband. He admitted to the crime after being arrested under relevant sections of the IPC, the sources added.
