Family cites conversation between Diya and her mother as proof.

The family of gangster Sandeep Ghadoli, who was killed in an alleged fake police encounter, has alleged that the Mumbai commissioner of police was aware the Haryana police would kill him in the city.

The family is making this allegation based on a telephonic conversation on the day Ghadoli was killed between Ghadoli’s girlfriend Divya Pahuja and her mother Sonia. The conversation is part of the chargesheet in the case filed this month.

A team of Haryana police lead by sub-inspector Pradhyuman Yadav had killed Gadholi in an encounter at Hotel Airport Metro on February 7, 2016.

After studying the recorded conversation of phone calls between Divya and Sonia, Ghadoli’s family claims that Mumbai police commissioner Dattatray Padsalgikar was aware about the “cold-blooded murder.”

The SIT investigating this case has already arrested Divya and her mother. Bhram Prakash, the eldest brother of Sandeep, while speaking to The Asian Age said, “The conversation between Divya and her mother after the killing clearly shows that they are speaking about Mumbai’s police commissioner. Then why has the SIT not done anything in this regard ”

He also said that as per the chargesheet, some police persons can be seen in the CCTV recording and were present in the hotel where Sandeep was shot dead but still they have not been arrested.

As far as the Mumbai commissioner of police is concerned, Mr Prakash was relying on the telephonic conversation between Divya and her mother when Divya was in Unit 10 of crime branch in Andheri and was asking her mother to come down to Mumbai and take her back.
