The Dindoshi police has arrested four young men and a juvenile for their alleged abduction and rape of a 15-year-old minor girl.

The Dindoshi police has arrested four young men and a juvenile for their alleged abduction and rape of a 15-year-old minor girl. The girl is 11 weeks pregnant and has held the five accused responsible for the same.

The girl had gone missing on October 21 and was found on October 28, according to the police. While the four accused men were remanded to police custody till November 7 by a local court, the juvenile was sent to a Dongri-based shelter meant for children.

According to the police, after the girl went missing, her family had registered a missing person’s complaint. The police, following Supreme Court guidelines with respect to missing minors, converted the complaint into a case of kidnapping under section 363 of the IPC. Later, when the girl returned home the police sent her for medical tests as per the rules. The tests revealed that the girl was 11 weeks pregnant.

When the girl’s parents questioned her, she informed her mother that she had gone to Marve along with two of her acquaintances, and during the visit the duo had had a physical relationship with her.

During police questioning, sources said the girl told the cops that three other boys acquainted with her, had also had a physical relationship with her over the past few months.

“After we discovered about the pregnancy, we questioned the girl and she informed us about these four men and a boy. We arrested the five accused for allegedly raping the minor,” said Dindoshi police station’s police inspector Ravi Adane. “As the girl is a minor, charges of rape under section 376 of IPC were added to the case,” said Mr Adane.
