Headmaster accused of molestation
The headmaster of a government girls’ school has been accused of molestation by a cook in Devgaon, Trimbakeshwar tehsil in Nashik. No arrests have been made so far.
The case has been registered by Ghoti police station (Igatpuri tehsil). The case under section 354 (A) was registered late on Friday.
In her complainant, the cook said that she had gone to headmaster K.D. Kulkarni’s cabin to sign the muster. “Seeing me alone, he asked me if he could come to my room at night. I was humiliated and scared by this question,” she stated.
Sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) K. ManjuLekshmi, who is in charge of integrated tribal development project (ITDP), said the charges against the headmaster were very serious. “We will take extremely strict action against the guilty. I will send a team and begin inquiry into the matter,” she told The Asian Age.
