Melody matters
Madhurima Tuli has been a part of many TV shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Rang Badalti Odhani etc, but it was as the face of an Airtel commercial (a woman who’s her husband’s boss at the office) that she gained instant recognition. Later, she starred opposite Akshay Kumar in the film Baby and played a younger version of Shabana Azmi’s character in the Hollywood project The Black Prince. She’s lately been seen on the Farhan Akhtar hosted show, I Can Do That. In a chat with us, Madhurima talks about her musical inclinations:
On my iPod these days: Hero by Enrique, Love Story and Blank Space by Taylor Swift, Kabira from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha
If I had to put together a ‘soundtrack’ for my life, the five songs on it would be: Aaj Main Upar from Khamoshi, Tum Bin Ji Jaaye Kaise from Tum Bin, Jo Bhi Chahu from Yes Boss, Kyun Chalti Hai Pawan from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Angrezi Beat
What I listen to when: I’m happy — Angrezi Beat, Love Story by Taylor Swift I’m low: I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys I’m working out: Dirty Bi**h and hip-hop
Music I loved growing up but am now embarrassed by: Sarkai Lo Khatiya was my favourite at that time!
I’d describe my taste in music as: Varied
My favourite time/way to listen to music during the day: When I’m cleaning my room, when I’m working out etc.
If I could have one band in the world/a musician perform a private concert for me, it would have to be: The Backstreet Boys and Enrique!
And the one live act I would love to see at least once in my life: JLo!
