Sahil Sharma, popularly known as Zaeden, has built a name for himself in a very shot span of time. Hailing from Gurgaon, Zaeden is a 21-year-old DJ and music producer who rose to fame with his cover of Coldplay’s Magic and Maroon 5’s Animals and later signed a deal with the Dutch independent label Spinnin’ Records, which houses artists like Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Hardwell, R3hab, and Afrojack. He is also one of the the youngest persons to speak at TEDX early in August. We chat with Zaeden about his musical favourites:

Music that you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by: I used to be a trance music addict back in the day, but when I look back, I’m not embarrassed by it.

You would describe your taste in music as: Unique. I always prefer listening to something fresh and meaningful.

Favourite time to listen to music: I’m just blasting of my bedroom studio monitors when I get up and go for a shower. That’s the best time to listen to music for me.

One band/musician you’d want a private concert from: Avicii.
