Meghan Markle baptised during secret ceremony at Chapel Royal

Meghan was not expected or required to be baptized into the Anglican Communion to marry into British monarchy.

The world can't wait for the wedding of the year, the British Royal wedding of American actress Meghan Markle to Prince Harry on May 19 this year.

And in preparation for the same, Meghan got baptised secretly into the Church of England.

The Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the 45-minute-long intimate service at the Chapel Royal on Tuesday evening.

Meghan was not expected or required to be baptized into the Anglican Communion to marry into British monarchy.

However, reports said she agreed to do it before her wedding to 33-year-old Harry out of respect for Queen Elizabeth, who is the head of the Church of England.

As per Daily Mail reportage, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were present while Prince William and the Queen did not attend.

The baptism was followed by Meghan's confirmation, which means she can now join her fiancé Harry at Holly Communion.
