Youngster wins jackpot, becomes world's most eligible bachelor

Shane Missler who randomly bought a lottery ticker has won a $451 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot.

Shane Missler from Florida’s Gulf Coast has won a $451 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot!

The 20-year-old from Port Richey purchased his winning ticket with money he had won from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

What is more surprising is that Missler did not even select the numbers of the ticket. He purchased the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Port Richey, using the "Quick Pick" option - meaning that numbers were randomly chosen.

But despite the astronomical chances of actually winning, Missler claims he had “a feeling” on the night of the drawing that he would win. He went on to win te fourth largest jackpot in the game’s history.

Missler’s winning ticket, with the five winning numbers and a "Mega Ball" number, was drawn on January 5, making him the only winner in the nationwide contest.

Taking to Facebook just minutes after the drawing, Missler updated his status to: “Oh. My. God.”

Opting for the one-time payment option, Missler received a payment of nearly $282m, according to Florida lottery officials.

The 20-year-old, however, claims that he won’t make any rash decisions when it comes to spending his new fortune and said that he hopes to use it to pursue a variety of passions, help his family and do some good for humanity.

Prior to his big win, Missler worked as a Verifications Specialist at Universal Background Screening, Inc., according to his Facebook account, but he has, since then, quit his job.
