Prince William to be Harry's best man at wedding
It has been revealed that Prince Harry has asked his older brother Prince William to be his best man at his wedding to Meghan Markle.
Wills, 35, will return the favour to Harry, 33, who was his own best man at his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.
Kensington Palace said William is 'honoured' to have been asked - although his acceptance will scupper any lingering hopes he may have had of watching some of the FA Cup final, which is on the same day.
In a statement released this morning, Kensington Palace said that Prince Harry has asked his brother The Duke of Cambridge to be his best man at his wedding to Ms Meghan Markle.
“The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St George's Chapel, Windsor on May 19th. Prince Harry served as best man to The Duke of Cambridge at his wedding to Miss Catherine Middleton in 2011,” the statement revealed.
There were earlier concerns over whether Prince William would be able to attend the whole wedding ceremony, as he was due to be at the FA Cup final as part of his duties as President of the Football Association.
But last month he decided to ditch his duties at Wembley to be at his brother's side on May 19.
The royal couple will marry at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19, with millions of people expected to watch around the world.
