The release was followed by a very interesting discussion on the Four Pillars of Beauty by Vasudha Rai. Sharing her insights, Vasudha said, “We are always approaching beauty from the outside in, when we should be thinking about it from the inside out. Because the inside always manifests on the outside”
Commenting on one of the pillars, Peace, Vivek Sahni, Founder of Kama had previously said “When you are not at Peace, you are at war with yourself.”
From whether saffron can make a person calmer to the fact that tulsi protects against pollution and turnips and radishes clarify complextion, the book deals with beauty and food.
The synopsis of the book reads, “Whoever said that great skin is purely genetic has obviously never harnessed the power of beauty foods. While it is possible to fake great skin with make-up, you can only be truly radiant when you nourish your body from within.”
From basic garden-variety fruit and vegetables to potent Ayurvedic herbs, the book, Glow tells one what to eat to ensure beauty inside and out.
Glow attempts to teach a person how to build strength and immunity, brighten and clarify their skin and obtain peace of mind with potent Indian remedies.
The combinations, recipes, homemade face masks, oils and morning infusions mentioned in the book attempts to transform not just skin but also the body and mind.
