Pink's subdued performance makes bold statement for #MeToo, #TimesUp

This year's subdued, barefooted performance came as a surprise from the entertainer.

Pink stood alone on the 60th annual Grammy Awards stage wearing jeans and a T-shirt to sing her new song "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken."

A sign language interpreter dressed in the same outfit joined her on stage at Madison Square Garden.

Her white t-shirt, baggy blue jeans and no shoes made a bold statement, that she stood in solidarity with the women of the #MeToo movement.

While her performance saw her dressed simply, she made a striking entrance with a multi-coloured feather gown from the Armani Privé Fall 2015 Couture collection.

She completed the flamboyant attire with a white rose in support of #TimesUp to protest sexual misconduct.

Pink has been known for her unique and gravity-defying performances in her past two Grammy performances past.

In 2010 she made her debut with a flying routine complete with acrobats and in 2014 she was suspended in the air wearing nothing but a lace leotard.

So this year's subdued, barefooted performance came as a surprise from the entertainer.

The three-time Grammy winner was a nominee Sunday for pop solo performance for "What About Us," but the prize went to Ed Sheeran for "Shape of You."
