Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis' awe-inspiring run continued unabated as they lifted their second trophy of the season with the WTA Apia International title after clinching their 30th win a row, here on Friday.

The triumph over Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic though was not without initial hiccups as the top seeds lost the first set meekly before eking out a 1-6, 7-5, 10-5 win in one hour and 13 minutes.

The world number one team trailed 1-6, 1-4 at one stage but they yet again came out unscathed, levelling the second set 5-5 and then sealed it to stretch it to a Super tie- breaker.

The US open and Wimbledon champions raced to an 8-3 lead in the decider and clinched the issue comfortably to stretch their unbeaten run to an incredible 30 matches.

It was the 11th title together for the Indo-Swiss pair as continuing the good show from 2015 when they won 9 titles including the year-end WTA finale.

Kuznetsova clinches trophy

Veteran Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova breezed past Monica Puig to win her 16th career title with a straight sets victory in the final of the Sydney International on Friday.

The 25th-ranked Kuznetsova took just 55 minutes to claim a 6-0, 6-2 victory over the 94th-ranked Puerto Rican in a one-sided final at Ken Rosewall Arena.

Dimitrov sets up Troicki final

Grigor Dimitrov and Viktor Troicki mastered rain disruptions to win two matches each on Friday to reach the final of the Sydney International.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov downed Alexsandr Dolgopolov and Gilles Muller to reach his first ATP final in 14 months, while Serb Troicki defeated Nicolas Mahut and Teimuraz Gabashvili.

Fourth seed Dimitrov accounted for eighth seed Dolgopolov, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and then followed up with a 6-2, 7-6 (7/4) victory over Luxembourg's Muller to reach the final.

Troicki fought back from a set down to oust Mahut 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and then took out Russian Gabashvili 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Sock sends Ferrer packing

Jack Sock overcame a dose of the flu to score an upset win over top-seed David Ferrer in the ATP Auckland Classic on Friday to set up a final showdown against Roberto Bautista Agut.

Sock won his semifinal 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, while Bautista Agut also came from a set down to beat the second seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 3-6, 7-6 (7/3), 6-4.

Bouchard-Cornet in title clash Canada's Eugenie Bouchard will play Alize Cornet of France in the final of the Hobart International after overcoming the top remaining seed Dominika Cibulkova in Friday’s semi-final.

The former world number five claimed a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory over third seeded Cibulkova. Cornet breezed past Sweden's Johanna Larsson 6-1, 6-1. Goffin wins Kooyong Classic

Belgian David Goffin put the final polish on his game for the Australian Open by beating explosive Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 6-2 on Friday to win the Kooyong Classic.

The world number 16 overcame a lightning start from Lopez, three behind him in the rankings, with the Spaniard producing love games on his first two serves before simmering down.
