Where did a festival leave a sea of waste
After the Reading Music Festival got over last weekend, the 90,000 odd visitors to the festival left behind a sea of rubbish which included abandoned tents, cigarette butts, half eaten food and garbage which is taking a full team of people, several days to clean up. Aeriel photos of the camp site, looks like the aftermath of a natural disaster once the music festival got over on Sunday night. According to the Daily Mail, a festival spokesperson complained that the real scale of rubbish doubled this year as a result of cheaper adventure gear, which was easily available. People, who attended the festival, did not bother to take their sleeping bags or tents back as felt they felt it was not worth the effort. Despite several efforts from festival organisers, visitors refused to take back their belongings and waste, turning the otherwise beautiful lakeside campsite, into a large wasteland which now resembles a landfill.
