A Nancy Drew film for Kajol
That Kajol is a voracious reader is well known. The actress was known to bury her nose in a book in between shots and barely interact with anyone on the sets in the days when she was still consistently working in films. At a recent event, there was of course considerable interest in just what might lure the gifted actress out of her self-imposed hiatus from the marquee. “I don’t like the scripts that come to me nowadays,” she said. “They aren’t very tight. It could be because I’ve read so much it becomes difficult to choose a script that is appealing as the stories I’ve read.” That statement had everyone piqued as to just what stories the actress didn’t consider on par with the scripts she received. “Right from the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series to The Immortals of Meluha and epics like the Ramayana too,” was her surprising reply. Mmmhmm
