Asha Parekh was among the closest friends of Shammi, fondly known as Shammi aunty, and she had expressed her tremendous grief in multiple reports.

Waheeda Rehman arrives at the venue to pay her last respects to the actress. She had also begun her career in the ‘50s like Shammi.

Farah Khan was among the celebrities present at the funeral on Wednesday. She had acted in Shammi’s last film ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.’

Padmini Kolhapure was also spotted arriving at the get-together. She had revealed few weeks ago that her son is gearing up for debut in films.

Prem Chopra acknowledges the cameras stationed at the venue. Shammi was known for films like ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Coolie no 1’ and many others.

Aroona Irani snapped after attending the prayer meet. The yesteryear actress was also spotted a day before at ‘Genius’ film launch.

Poonam Dhillon was also among the celebrities seen at the gathering. The yesteryear actress has not been in any film of late.

Another yesteryear actress Tina Ambani was also snapped on the occasion. Shammi was known for TV serials like ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, ‘Zabaan Sambhal Ke’, ‘Shriman Shrimati’ as well.

Kiran Rao was one of the producers of ‘Secret Superstar’ last year, which took the China box office by storm recently.

Farida Jalal made a rare appearance at the event. The veteran actress has not been seen in any film recently.

Poonam Sinha was also clicked on her way to the venue. Other members of the family like Shatrughan and Sonakshi were not seen.

Priya Dutt was among the first to take to Twitter on Tuesday to express her grief about the passing of Shammi.
