Arab Sheikhs have always been known for their hospitality. And Vivek Oberoi for one can vouch for it. The actor recently was at the receiving end of some rather regal treatment by a Dubai Sheikh. Vivek was shooting for a film being produced by Kumar Taurani in Dubai and fainted on the sets due to a heat stroke. Since the unit was not allowed to bring in their vanity van thanks to security reasons, the shoot was physically challenging for most members of the unit. The piercing heat of the desert made it no better for the entire crew. When the owner of the resort, a kind Sheikh, came to know of the incident he stepped in personally to make sure Vivek and his wife Priyanka (who is pregnant) felt at home and offered them a stay at one of his private holiday homes. Needless to say, it was in true Arab style, a rather luxurious and flamboyant set up. And both Vivek and Priyanka were touched by the thoughtful gesture and profusely thanks their host. “It was a very humble and kind gesture on the part of the Sheikh to offer his personal holiday home to Priyanka and Vivek. He made sure they were taken care of and ensured they had a comfortable time right in the middle of the desert,” says producer Kumar Taurani.
