A national shooter and his family members were thrashed by some local miscreants when he tried to confront a group of eve-teasers. The incident took place at Uttarpara in North 24 Parganas on the occasion of Holi. National shooter Bibaswan Ganguly was going to his relative’s house with his wife, father and uncle when local youth accosted them and passed lewd comments at his wife. Mr Ganguly protested and went ahead. But the youth followed him and assaulted him, his father and his uncle. The injured were treated and discharged from Uttarpara State General Hospital. The shooter and his wife later lodged an FIR against the culprits at the Uttarpara police station but no one has been arrested yet.
